Casa de Amparo’s 16th annual Meet the Chefs of Del Mar took place at the Hilton Del Mar and raised more than $105,000 to support the programs and services offered to abused and at-risk children and families throughout San Diego County. Event chair Laura McPhee orchestrated the event, which featured such dishes as grilled lamb chops with roasted eggplant, blackened swordfish tacos, and chocolate pecan bread pudding. Young’s Market Company poured premium wines complimenting the range of gourmet dishes.
Top auction items were the rare magnums and double magnums in the large format premium wine auction and restaurant dinners donated by many of the restaurants.
