UCSD Alumni hosted celebrated the university’s 50th anniversary along with 50 UC San Diego leaders including Cymer founders Robert Akins and Richard Sandstrom; Gary Jacobs, founder of High Tech High International; and Megan McArthur, who served as a space shuttle Atlantis crew member on the final servicing mission for the Hubble Space Telescope. Event proceeds benefited student scholarships at UC San Diego.
