The 8th Annual Sharp HospiceCare Benefit Regatta took place to support Sharp HospiceCare’s Homes for Hospice campaign, an initiative to build hospice homes in San Diego. Maggie Watkins of Best Best & Krieger LLP and Bill Quealy of KPMG LLP were this year’s co-chairs. The two-day event featured an evening celebration at the Hotel Del Coronado in advance of the festivities the next day at the Coronado Yacht Club, which included lunch and refreshments and the opportunity to watch the regatta up close from spectator yachts. Sharp HospiceCare currently operates two hospice homes, LakeView and ParkView, which together have served more than 3,500 families. Since 1991, highly trained and dedicated professionals and volunteers from Sharp HospiceCare have provided end-of-life care to more than 18,000 individuals throughout San Diego County.
