Promises2Kids’ Summer Concert Gala took place at the private estate of Joan Waitt and featured an unplugged performance by four-time Grammy Award-winner Pat Benatar and renowned guitarist Neil Giraldo. Guests also enjoyed dinner provided by the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine and a silent/live auction. Event co-chairs were Ann and Ben Haddad, and the honorary co-chairs were Mayor Jerry Sanders and Joan Waitt. Originally founded as the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation of San Diego County, Promises2Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against child abuse and neglect in San Diego County. Promises2Kids offers a broad array of support systems and myriad opportunities to connect with a wide variety of resources, programs, and collaborative partners focused on eliminating child abuse. The CEO and president of Promises2Kids is the Susan Golding, former two-term mayor of San Diego.
