The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego hosted its seventh Benefit Art Auction at its La Jolla site. Collectors, patrons, curators, academics, and gallery visitors gathered to bid on works by important contemporary artists including Lael Corbin, Robert Venturi, Jean Lowe, Robert Irwin, Roman de Salvo, Christo, Manny Farber, and John Baldessari. August O. Uribe, senior vice president of Sotheby’s New York, conducted the auction.
