Zoo RITZ is one of the most beautiful parties in San Diego. Under the stars, with lighted graphic design that turns an open space into a wonderland, guests pet animals, talk to birds, dine on imaginative gourmet food, and dance the night away. This year’s Zoo RITZ on June 16 marks its 29th anniversary. Titled Zoomerang and themed “Australian Outback,” there are sure to be koala bears, as well as many other animal friends of zoo conservation ambassador Joan Embery. Audrey Geisel has given the Outback project a jumpstart by pledging to match every donated dollar with two of her own, up to $1 million. Mike and Martha McKinnon are co-chairs.
