San Diego Coastkeeper presents its 14th annual Ocean Gala on Saturday, October 24, at The US Grant to recognize the vibrant heritage of San Diego’s watersheds and the need to protect our precious natural resources. Honorary event chair is County of San Diego Vice Chairwoman Pam Slater-Price. The live auction will feature eco-friendly items, eco-tourism travel packages, and unique local items focusing on wildlife and outdoor experiences. Of note is the Green Your Home live auction package, offering bamboo flooring by Cali Bamboo, an energy efficiency Audit with a HERS rating and energy efficiency retrofit by Greener Dawn, Inc., green building materials from Olive Branch, a consultation from Hubbell and Hubbell Architects, a water filtration system, native plants, landscaping, and more.
