The San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy (SELC) presents its Birds of a Feather fundraising gala on Saturday, September 26, at Clear Spring Farm in Rancho Santa Fe to benefit its Environmental Education Program that serves 2,600 area students and adults annually. Master of ceremonies for the evening will be Loren Nancarrow, with Richard Houk serving as auctioneer, Elizabeth Keadle as honorary gala chair, and Carol Childs and Peter House as honorary auction chairs. Entertainment will be provided by the jazz ensemble Endangered Speciez Project. Tickets are $125 per person. SELC is a nonprofit citizens group formed in 1987 with the mission to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources of the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve and its watershed.
