Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute will host its fourth annual Bring It! event at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Activity Center on April 27, in support of stem cell research. This year’s reality show theme will challenge guests to answer trivia questions and participate in a variety of fun and unusual games.
Bring It! funds the HeadNorth Chronic Spinal Cord Injury Project, a collaboration between Sanford-Burnham and HeadNorth, as well as other promising stem cell research taking place at the Institute. Researchers are currently studying uses for stem cells in treating or curing diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and a number of other conditions.
This lively fundraising event promises opportunities to meet and greet with San Diego’s business leaders at a cocktail reception with gourmet bites and entertainment. Then the games begin, with attendees seated in teams of ten, competing for the title of 2012 Bring It! champion.
Bring It! is held annually in San Diego and in Orlando. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are offered to businesses wishing to reach an active, affluent audience. Tickets, sponsorships and further information are available by calling Chelsea Luedeke. (858/795-5239, www.sanfordburnhamevents.org/bringit)
