Words Alive is a San Diego-based nonprofit literacy organization that inspires a commitment to reading and develops shared reading experiences for children, youth, and adults. The organization will feature multiple New York Times best-selling author Elizabeth Berg as its annual Authors’ Luncheon keynote speaker on Wednesday, November 10, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Robert Goolrick, an established author in his own right, will join Berg as a speaker. The event opens at 10am with the Words Alive Market Place featuring Warwick’s Books and Geppetto’s Toys, each donating a percentage of the day’s sales to Words Alive, along with a variety of other vendors. Both authors will greet fans and sign books from 10-11:30am and immediately after the luncheon ends, from 1:30-2:30pm. General admission tickets are $100 and include a signed copy of Berg’s latest work, Last Time I Saw You. Goolrick’s A Reliable Wife will also be available for purchase.
