Trios Gallery in Solana Beach will host a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society on Saturday, October 30, from 7-9pm. Local artist and cancer survivor Susan Hirsch organized this event as part of a national “Art for the Cure” movement in which artists show their support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hirsch and many other local artists have created special pieces of art and jewelry to be raffled during the event.
Hirsch is known locally for the fused glass installations she has created for local homeowners and commercial buildings. She is also the founder of Post Op-tions, a company that manufactures post surgery recovery items for women.
Proceeds from raffle tickets and donations collected during the event will be donated in full to the American Cancer Society. A portion of gallery sales will also be donated. Admission to the event is free. Raffle tickets will be available at the event. Guests will also enjoy a wine tasting courtesy of Vinavanti Wines and hors d’oeuvres provided by Le Papagayo.
