The Kawasaki Disease Foundation presents its fundraising gala on Saturday, September 25, at La Costa Resort & Spa. Enjoy dinner, auctions, music, and dancing to The Jones Revival, with American Idol’s Justin Guarini as emcee and cinematographer Jimmy Garcia as keynote speaker. Garcia, of San Marcos, recently received an Emmy for his work on American Idol. He has also worked on Oprah, Dancing with the Stars, and more. The cause is dear to Garcia, who suffered a heart attack last year on his 51st birthday. Through subsequent angioplasty and stent placement, he was given a KD diagnosis.
