Hope For A Cure Foundation presents its annual wine tasting fundraiser on Saturday, October 3, from 1-4pm, on the patio at Piatti in La Jolla. Guests will enjoy wines donated by A.Mano and Wilson Creek Wineries, along with delicious Italian appetizers, silent and live auction items, and entertainment. Established in March of 2004 by Eva Borgstrom, Marianne Nakamura, Olga Fisher, Dee Jerge, and Maryjo Highland, with Pam Xitco joining the group in 2006, Hope For A Cure has raised over $100,000 and has purchased eight pieces of equipment that have been donated to cancer researchers here in the San Diego area at institutions including Scripps Research Institute, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, Moores Cancer Center (UCSD), and The Burnham Institute.
