Founded in 1994, The Foundation for the Children of the Californias is a tri-national collaboration working to support the Hospital Infantil de las Californias, a pediatric medical specialty center for patients on both sides of the border. To date, nearly 255,000 pediatric consultations and more than 5,100 surgeries have been performed at the Hospital Infantil de las Californias. Located one half mile south of the Otay crossing in Tijuana, Mexico, no child is turned away for inability to pay for care thanks to generous donations and the efforts of pediatric professionals, civic, business, and academic leaders.
