For Bill, Nancy, Liam, and Shannon Hearne, the cure and control of cystic fibrosis is a family affair. Ever since 17-year-old Liam was diagnosed with the disease at birth, the family has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and more than $1 million in funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). On September 26, CFF’s San Diego chapter honors the Hearne family with the Breath of Life Award at its tenth annual gala, Well Healed, at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. Grand prize is four pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and a one-of-a kind handbag valued at more than $4,000. Lauren Russell is guest speaker; Kimberly Hunt is the special guest. Shawn Parr emcees.
