The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s (CFF) 2009 wine event takes place on Thursday, August 13, at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center. Wine novices and advanced enthusiasts are invited to sip great wines and savor delectable cuisine from some of San Diego’s best restaurants and wineries. This year’s event will include an exclusive VIP experience, unique silent auction opportunities, a grand prize opportunity drawing, and many other fun surprises including special guest Kip Locke, a finalist on ABC's The Bachelorette. A "fantasy date" with Locke, including dinner and limo transportation, will be auctioned off to raise money for scientific research that will help cure cystic fibrosis. General event tickets are $50. VIP tickets are $85 and including parking, a private cooking demonstration by a celebrity chef, Champagne toast, and premium wine all evening. All event proceeds will benefit CFF and its mission to cure or control cystic fibrosis.
On September 26, CFF presents its tenth annual Breath Of Life Gala at Estancia Hotel & Spa to honor the Hearne family as the 2009 Breath of Life Award recipient.
