On Saturday, June 2, from 6-11pm, the annual Cheers for Charity will benefit local and international projects including Rotary’s Jalalabad School in Afghanistan. The event will be held at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, located at 4126 Executive Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037. Step back in time to the age of the Roaring 1920s, enjoy one of Gatsby’s notorious garden parties, as the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club puts on the ritz. Taste imported and domestic fine wine, handcrafted beers, spirits, and delicious food from local purveyors. Sheik and Sheba alike will be shelling clams, and bidding on swell auction items, raising monies for over 50 service projects that the LJGT Rotary supports, locally and abroad.
