The Annual Heart & Soul Gala of Jewish Family Service (JFS) of San Diego takes place on Saturday, March 3, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. This year’s theme, A Legacy of Service, celebrates Jill Borg Spitzer, longtime JFS CEO, who is retiring after 26 years of service. The organization will honor Spitzer for her extraordinary accomplishments, inspiring leadership, and community service. JFS provides more than 50 programs including JFS Economic Crisis Response Program, the Hand Up Youth Food Pantry, the Jewish Employment Network, Jewish BIGPals, On the Go Senior Transportation, and much more. This year’s gala is chaired by Murray Galinson, Jennifer Levitt, and Ashley Stone, with auction chairs Leslie Fastlicht Russo and Valerie Viterbi. “Our outstanding committee is hard at work putting together a memorable party, a silent auction with hundreds of prizes, a live auction with unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and great entertainment,” notes Galinson.
