On Saturday, July 18, under the stars in Balboa Park, leaders in the worlds of art, culture, and philanthropy will come together for Patrons of the Prado Gala 2009 to raise critically needed funds to support the educational programs and initiatives of San Diego Junior Theatre, the San Diego Natural History Museum, and the Timken Museum of Art. This year’s event is titled Intrigue on the Orient Express, and guests will enjoy a performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Steve Tyrell, cuisine by Pamplemousse Grille’s Jeffrey Strauss, a fine wine opportunity drawing, and dancing until midnight. Patrons of the Prado was founded in 1997 to raise funds and provide significant financial support for the programs and initiatives of the museums and arts organizations on the Prado of Balboa Park.
