On Saturday, September 17, from 5-8pm, at the Olivenhain home of Doug and Libby Scott, the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy will celebrate its 25th anniversary and raise funds for its environmental education program, which offers docent-led tours in which students and community members learn how coastal wetlands provide essential habitats to thousands of species, provide protection from severe storms, filter water, and support fish populations. The gala will include a gourmet dinner as well as silent and live auctions. Jazz ensemble Endangered Speciez Project will provide live entertainment. Tickets are $150 per person.
