On Saturday, February 5, more than 400 influential leaders from the business and regional civic communities and friends of the San Diego Natural History Museum will gather in celebration of the many years of binational research and education collaboration between the Southern California and Baja California region. Each year, SDNHM recognizes two honorees who have contributed significantly to cross-border cooperation and environmental understanding. This year’s honorees are mother-daughter team Yolanda Walther-Meade and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade. Enjoy scrumptious gourmet food from the region’s most talented culinary artists from both sides of the border, scintillating entertainment by Los Reyes del Ritmo, and a dynamic new After Dark @ the Museum party. Gala chairs are Eleanor Navarra and Marie Tahan Daniels. For tickets please contact Rachel De Quesada. (619/255-0182, www.sdnhm.org/dosaguilas)
