Fifteen fantastic Del Mar restaurants will be represented at the 13th annual Meet the Chefs event poolside at the Hilton Del Mar on April 26. Gourmet chefs will stir up culinary delights for those attending, with all proceeds benefiting Casa de Amparo, an Oceanside-based nonprofit serving abused and neglected children and their families throughout San Diego County. Tickets for Meet the Chefs are $100 each, and $150 for VIP tickets. “This year we’ve lowered the price of the tickets to encourage people to support Casa in the midst of a challenging economy,” says event chairperson Elaine Allyn. “Casa kids and their families are in as much need as ever, and we want to make sure our events continue to help support Casa de Amparo’s work in the community.” (760/754-5500, www.casadeamparo.org) MASON RICHEY
