The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy presents The River Valley Fest on Sunday, October 17, between 2pm and sunset at Rancho Valencia Resort in Rancho Santa Fe. Enjoy an afternoon of Spanish cuisine from San Diego Paella, sangria, wine and beer from local artisans, music by guitarist Bill Fleming, round-robin tennis, croquet, and a silent auction. Proceeds will help support the work of the conservancy, a membership-supported nonprofit with a current goal of completing a 55-mile river valley park that runs from the ocean in Del Mar to Volcan Mountain behind Julian. Advance reservations are required by October 7, as space is limited. Tickets are $100 per person, or $150 for those who wish to play round-robin tennis.
