On October 9, the Malashock Thinks You Can Dance! annual fundraiser will take place in the Birch North Park Theatre in San Diego to benefit Malashock Dance education outreach and scholarship programs. Local personalities including KFMB news anchor Carlo Cecchetto, Channel 4 sports anchor John Weisbarth, and Procter & Gamble spokeswoman and Ranch & Coast contributing writer Tania Luviano, among others, will team up with professional partners to compete in a one-night dance-off with winners being determined by audience vote. The event will be overseen by honorary chairs Mayor Jerry Sanders and Rana Sampson and Dea and Osborn Hurston, comedian emcee Monique Marvez, and celebrity judges Brian Malarkey of Top Chef and radio personality Jerry Cesak. Event chair is Yolanda S. Walther-Meade. Tickets range between $50-$150.
