The fourth annual Hurricane Olympics will take place on Saturday, June 5, at Magee Park in Carlsbad. For the third year in a row, H.O.C., Inc joins forces with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego. For “The Games,” teams will consist of five to six members each and compete in events ranging from Dizzy Chicken Shot-Put and a mind-bending Puzzle Challenge to an Obstacle Course Relay Race, and much more. On hand this year will be the H.O. 2009 “wish kid,” Aidan, to accept his honorary gold medal from last year and the 2010 “wish kid,” Ceamon, to help light the torch in the Opening Ceremony at noon. Featured sponsors include Macbeth Footwear, Pop Chips, Honest Tea, Patrick McClory Bodywork, and 2600 Strange Ave. For more information on how to enter a team or volunteer, please contact Steff Colonna.
