On May 22, the San Diego Natural History Museum will be transformed for the All That Glitters Gala, celebrating the opening of the museum’s blockbuster two-year exhibition All That Glitters, which examines the science and splendor of gems and minerals. Guests will enjoy culinary masterpieces by Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille. Peter Duchin and his orchestra will provide dance music. Pam Slater-Price of the County Board of Supervisors will be honored as the “Jewel of the County” and chair of the honorary committee, the “Jewels of Balboa Park.” Ellen Zinn of Rancho Santa Fe will serve as gala chair.
