Glamourama 2010 takes place on Friday, May 7, at La Costa Resort and Spa. Titled Have a Heart and presented by the North Coast Unit of Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, the event embraces a Wicked/Wizard of Oz theme, and will showcase up to 20 local vendors and a live silent auction, as well as a performance of popular songs from both productions. Guests will enjoy card readers, an astrologer, and massages. Chairpersons are Elizabeth Shany and Michelle MacDonald, with Bill Menish as auctioneer. Over the last ten years, Glamourama has raised $1 million. According to Laura Stearn, chairperson of the North Coast Unit, “All funds raised from Glamourama 2010 will benefit the Heart Institute, which performed 507 open and closed heart surgeries in 2009.” (760/419-3259, www.radysncu.com)
