Put on your dancing shoes — on Friday, April 23, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds’ Activity Center, Sounds of Hope For Children will feature the legendary winner of ten Grammy Awards, Chaka Khan, along with music icons Anita Ward, Evelyn “Champagne” King, and Gloria Gaynor. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a live auction. According to event chair Edith Smith, “[Rady Children’s Hospital’s] Chadwick Center, which promotes the health and well-being of abused and traumatized children and their families, will be the recipient of the funds raised at this year’s concert.” Tickets, which are $325 each, are by invitation only.
