The American Heart Association San Diego Division’s 2010 Go Red For Women Luncheon takes place on Friday, February 12, at the Hotel del Coronado. A highlight of the 10th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon is the Project Red Runway Fashion Show, featuring local survivors and their families. “More than 41 million American women are living with one or more types of cardiovascular disease, yet only one in five view heart disease as their greatest health threat,” notes event chair Deborah Jondall. “We are in a very fortunate position,” she points out. “For every dollar raised in San Diego by the American Heart Association, $1.50 comes back to our local community in the form of funding for local research institutions engaged in the fight against heart disease and stroke.” (858/410-3850, www.americanheart.org)   JANE SHIOMI
