In celebration of Acqua Al 2’s ninth anniversary, San Diego Padres players will take over the award-winning Italian restaurant as chefs, servers, and bartenders on August 23. San Diego Padres All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and his wife, Betsy, will present the Fourth Annual Celebrity Staff Night, a special evening benefiting The Adrian & Betsy Gonzalez Foundation that gives guests the chance to mix and mingle with Padres players.
The Padres players will shake up cocktails, prepare Acqua Al 2’s signature authentic Italian dishes, and wait tables. Guests will savor a five-course dinner paired with fine wines and bid on live auction items, including exclusive sports memorabilia, discounted rates to premier San Diego restaurants and many other one-of-a-kind items. In addition, raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a surprise activity with the players, and guests can also contribute a donation to the foundation to have a professional photograph taken on the red carpet with Adrian Gonzalez from 5:30- 6:00pm. Also, guests will have the chance to get any items they would like autographed by their favorite Padres player.
Proceeds will benefit the Adrian & Betsy Gonzalez Foundation, which empowers underprivileged youth through athletics, education, and health. The money raised at this year’s event will be dedicated to the Adrian Gonzalez Scholarship, recently established to benefit underprivileged youth who have the enthusiasm, dedication, and drive to earn their college education.
