Tuesday, April 17 is the date for Taste of Shelter Island 2012, taking place from 6-9pm. The event will showcase an eclectic array of San Diego eateries, each offering samplings of signature dishes from their menus. Highlights include such eateries as The Wine Pub, Elegant Truffle, and The Pearl Hotel. Guests will also savor panoramic views of the bay, spanning from downtown San Diego to the Point Loma Peninsula. Proceeds from The Taste of Shelter Island 2012 will benefit the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 per person. (www.peninsulachamber.com)
