ElderHelp’s upcoming fundraiser, Wine & Dine: Prohibition, will feature many of San Diego’s best restaurants, libations from top wine and spirit producers, and live entertainment and dancing. Set for April 21 at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, the event helps give aid to San Diego’s growing population of seniors to help them remain independent in their own homes, notes Leane Marchese, executive director of ElderHelp. Founded in 1973 as a community-based volunteer organization in North Park, ElderHelp has grown to become a regional community resource center for seniors and their families. Tickets are $150 in advance; $200 at the door. (619/284-9281, ext. 112, www.winedinesd.com) MASON RICHEY
