Save the date for The Red Door’s upcoming Chef’s Market Dinner on Friday, June 17, at 5pm. Set with an interactive twist, guests will accompany chef Brian Johnston to the Mission Hills Farmer’s Market to relish in the freshness of the food, and shop for seasonal necessities purveyed and produced by local vendors. Following the sustainable food field trip, chef Johnston will create an exclusive four-course meal (wine pairings optional), showcasing the items purchased that evening. Culinary expertise, communal camaraderie, and several of chef Johnston’s favorite recipes will permeate the evening. While it’s hard to foresee exactly what will inspire chef Johnston that day, expect sweet onions from Suzie’s Farm, heirloom tomatoes, and a dessert incorporating fresh local berries.
