Seventeen of Del Mar’s finest restaurants have signed on to participate in the 15th annual Meet the Chefs of Del Mar benefiting Casa de Amparo on Sunday, April 10, from 1-4pm, at the Hilton Del Mar. Participants include Camron Woods of Amaya at The Grand Del Mar, Randy Gruber of Americana, Mason Garske of The Brigantine, Francisco Castaneda of the Hilton Del Mar, Tessaract Carson of Il Fornaio, Dustin Anselm of Jake’s Del Mar, Paul McCabe of Kitchen 1540 at L’Auberge, Izzy Balderas and Eddie Zamarripa of Pacific Coast Grill and Belly Up, Evan Cruz of Pacifica Del Mar, Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille, Christopher Sayre of Paradise Grille, Darrell MacNeil of Pasta Pronto, Mourad Jamal and Jorge Sotelo of Poseidon, Jose Montano and Jorge Benites of Red Tracton’s, Bryan Graham of Sbicca, Yoshi Nohara of Shimbashi Izakaya, and Tomaso Maggiore and Augustino Maggiore of Tommy V’s. John Parker of Young’s Market will provide a wide selection of premium wines along with advice on wine pairings for each dish. A special VIP reception takes place from 12:15-1pm, featuring a wine tasting from Silver Oak Cellars, a gourmet cheese tasting from Venissimo Cheese, a special performance by pianist Jordan Perez, reserved seating for the chef’s event, valet parking, express checkout, a preview of the lavish large format wine auction, special drawings, and gifts.
