Roppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar presents Pure Sake, a special dining event on Wednesday, May 19, at 6:30pm, featuring a five-course prix-fixe dinner menu, pairing Roppongi’s signature new-Asian cuisine with five different sakes. Participants will be treated to a sake master-led tasting lesson and will also learn many of the time-honored traditions of drinking sake.
The evening begins with New Style Loch Duarte Salmon Sashimi with Pink Sea Salt and Yuzu Champagne Vinaigrette. The second course presented will be a delicious Local Spiny Lobster Miso Soup with Seaweed, Tofu, Shitake Mushrooms and Enoki Mushrooms, followed by a third course consisting of a Seared Big-Eye Tuna and Dungeness Crab Napoleon with Wasabi Hot Mustard and Sichimi Butter Sauce.
The fourth and main entrée course is a Jidori Crispy Chicken Breast with a Furikake Rice Cake, Sweet Plum and Sage Jus, leading to the sweet finale dessert course of Elderberry Gelee served with Fresh Fruit and Green Tea Gelato. Also served as an ending treat will be Candied Ginger and Chocolate Truffles.
