On Sunday, April 18, chefs from 16 of Del Mar’s finest restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes paired with wines from Young’s Market Company at Casa de Amparo’s 14th annual Meet The Chefs of Del Mar at the Del Mar Hilton.

Participants include Dustin Anselm/Jake’s Del Mar; Izzy Balderas and Eddie Zamarripa/Pacific Coast Grill and Belly Up; William Bradley/Addison at The Grand Del Mar; Francisco Castaneda/Hilton Del Mar; Daisuke/Shimbashi; Mason Garske/Brigantine; Roberto Gerbino/Il Fornaio; Timothy Gutmann/Poseidon; Bryan Graham/Sbicca; Randy Gruber/Americana; Chris Idso/Pacifica Del Mar; Paul McCabe/Kitchen 1540 at L’Auberge Del Mar; Jose Montano and Mauricio Pineda/Red Tracton’s; Christopher Sayre/Paradise Grill; and Jeffrey Strauss/Pamplemousse Grille.

“I have a huge spot in my heart for the children helped by Casa de Amparo as well as the organization itself,” says Jeffrey Strauss, chef/owner of Pamplemousse Grille, who has participated in the event since it began 14 years ago. “This event brings local chefs together with the community and raises much needed funds for children who’ve been abused. Meet the Chefs of Del Mar is a great event on so many levels.”

Jade Cole from America’s Next Top Model will be helping out, lending her runway style to presenting exciting auction items such as Pamplemousse Grille’s Coveted Winery Dinner Series or a two-week stay at Spain’s Marriott Marbella Beach Resort. “After my notoriety on ANTM, I wanted to return to issues that are most important to me and give back to the community that has given me so much support,” said Jade. “I wanted to work with children. Friends and family told me about Casa de Amparo. I was touched by their vision of ending child abuse and decided to become a volunteer.”
