The Cooks Confab, a group of San Diego’s most celebrated chefs, is stepping out of the kitchen and into the streets to host Street Food!, a holiday celebration of family, food, and, most importantly, giving. On Saturday, December 5, from 9am-1pm, the chefs will gather at the Little Italy Mercato and create their favorite rendition of street food — from hot dogs and tacos to ceviche and pizelle and everything in between. All proceeds generated will be donated to A Reason to Survive (ARTS), a local nonprofit dedicated to healing, inspiring, and empowering children facing life challenges by providing innovative arts-based programs. The Cooks Confab also encourages guests to bring along a new or gently-used musical instrument or unwrapped toy for the kids at ARTS. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day-of.
