The Village Hat Shop will team up with fashion hat designer Arturo Rios for the 3rd Annual Arturo Rios Trunk Show at The Village Hat Shop in Hillcrest on Saturday, July 14, from 4pm to 7pm. Rios will help customers find their perfect hat for Opening Day, or any fashionable occasion, and will showcase his current Spring Summer 2012 Collection as well as offer a pre-release on his new Fall & Winter 2012 Collection.
Rios hand-crafts his designs one piece at a time. His headpieces are bold, exploring a full range of colors, utilizing unique fabrics and embellishments, and exotic and flexible feathers. Rios’ work has been worn by exclusive clients and celebrities including Paris Hilton, Daisy Fuentes, and Jaime King, and have been featured in high-end fashion magazines and at the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
The Village Hat Shop is celebrating its 32nd anniversary, and is making huge improvements to the 5,000-square-foot flagship store in Hillcrest. In addition to its Hillcrest location, a second San Diego store is located in Seaport Village. (619/906-4440, www.villagehatshop.com)
