On Wednesday, April 27, at 11 am, the Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild Friends of the Library presents its 26th annual fashion show, originally founded in 1984 by long-time resident Ellie Johns. The event is held each year at the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club, with a luncheon outside on the lawn followed by an indoor runway show. This year’s show, the Pulitzer Party, will feature the styles of Lilly Pulitzer, provided by Cabaña of Santa Monica. The runway show will also feature couture clothing by Lourdes Chavez, renowned for her classic lines, elegant color pairings, and her love of texture. Boutique shopping before and after the show will feature the Pulitzer clothing line, accessories, and jewelry. There will also be a reading-themed silent auction. Tickets are $75 each, and proceeds will benefit the Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild Friends of the Library, which hosts a Summer Reading Program for 400 local children, an annual holiday tea, and Petals & Prose, a fall flower show.
