On Sunday, March 25, the Escondido Humane Society’s 13th annual Paws in the Park will raise funds and awareness for homeless and abandoned animals. Festivities will begin with registration and a meet and greet at 8am at Kit Carson Park. Walkers and their canine companions will then embark on a 1.5- or 2.5-mile course. The post-walk celebration includes a “Canine Couture” fashion show, giveaways, games for people and pets, a pet confidence-building course, and vendor expo. Heather Myers of San Diego 6 will serve as master of ceremonies. Registration is free, and all walkers will receive incentive prizes based on dollars raised.
