Tony Hawk: SHRED Presents Stand Up For Skateparks have become the must-attend charity events for young families and action sports fans. For seven years, the events have played a critical role in helping the Tony Hawk Foundation bring quality, accessible skateparks to youth in 463 communities nationwide. There are two opportunities to attend the family-centric action-sports carnival. First in Beverly Hills at a private estate on Sunday, October 17, and then at the Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday, November 6. The Beverly Hills event promises a rocking good time. “Music of Jane’s Addiction flying through the air, Tony Hawk flying through the air, that’s a party,” says Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell. Along with heavy celebrity attendance, the exclusive events will feature games, activities, food, live and silent auctions, a vert demo by Tony Hawk and a who’s who of pro skateboarding and BMX. Hawk will add a twist in Las Vegas by dropping his signature ramp on top of the Wynn Las Vegas swimming pool. Both events are strictly limited to 1,000 guests each. Tickets can be purchased online.
