The Porto Vista Hotel is unleashing a Mutt Mingle event to get San Diego locals’ tails wagging along with their pet companions for an evening of specialty cocktails and appetizers on Friday, April 2. With man’s best friend by their side, guests can escape the pressures of the week and unwind with their playful, mood-lifting pooches while taking in the views of downtown San Diego and the bay.
From 5-8pm, the hotel’s Ripassi roof terrace will be transformed into a ‘Wooftop’ happy hour as man and beast unite to socialize with special guests City Dog, a premier self service dog wash; Friends of the Humane Society of Tijuana, a nonprofit animal rescue organization; and the UCSD Radiology team. City Dog and the Humane Society will be available to advise guests on pet care tips throughout the night to keep the loyal companions happy and healthy.
Porto Vista aims to keep its human guests happy and healthy as well, and what better way to reduce stress than welcome their furry friends along to the happy hour. As pets are proven to improve mood, add social support, and provide anxiety relief among other health benefits, the Mutt Mingle event is the perfect opportunity for guests to throw away their troubles and get a new leash on life.
Dog lovers will also enjoy the original specialty cocktails for the evening that include It's a Dog's Life, the Cat's Meow, Dog and Bone, Raining Cats and Dogs, Chasing My Tail and Barking Up the Tree. In addition, guests will receive two appetizers for the price of one during the happy hour.
