The holiday season is particularly challenging for kids at the San Diego Center for Children as many of them in residential care remain at the center for the holidays. Fortunately, organizations like Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza step up with a huge helping hand. This year, Sammy’s will hold a toy drive from Tuesday, December 8 to Sunday, December 13 to benefit the children and adolescents at the San Diego Center for Children. San Diegans are encouraged to drop by any of Sammy’s locations between these dates to donate a new, unwrapped toy or game for kids ages 6 to 18. All customers who donate a toy or game at one of the ten Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza locations throughout San Diego will receive a coupon good for a free signature giant Messy Sundae dessert, redeemable upon receipt or saved for future use. Sammy’s locations include La Jolla, Del Mar, Downtown/Gaslamp, Carlsbad, Mission Valley, La Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Point Loma, San Marcos, and UTC/Costa Verde.
“We have had a long, warm relationship with the San Diego Center for Children,” says Sami Ladeki, founder and CEO of Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza restaurants. “We’re pleased to help out for the holidays by encouraging the community that supports us to reach out to the center’s children.”
