The 4th Annual Dana Point Grand Prix of Cycling (DPGP) will once again bring professional bicycle racing to beautiful Heritage Park and the community on April 10-11. The Dana Point Community Cycling Foundation is proud to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley and the 5th Marine Regiment Support Group.

The 2010 edition of the DPGP has been selected by USA Cycling as a member of the National Racing Calendar, an exclusive series comprising 34 race events throughout the United States. Dana Point was selected to be part of this exclusive group because of its beauty and proactive community involvement with children and cycling advocacy.

The Dana Point Community Cycling Foundation will introduce a new segment to 2010 DPGP — The Killer Cove Road Time Trial on Saturday April 10. This event is a challenging 2.25-mile prologue-type Time Trial winding along the beautiful Dana Point Harbor with elements of the current criterium course, and an awesome sprint climb up Cove Road. The action will continue on Sunday, April 11, with the 4th annual criterium event. Expect top-notch competition with something for the whole family, free kids events, music, food, and more. For more information, or to participate, please contact Lynn Kelly.
