On Labor Day, Monday, September 7, from noon to 6pm, Hacienda de las Rosas Winery will host an old-fashioned grape stomp at Fiesta de Reyes in Old Town. The event will feature wine tastings of locally produced wines, Mexican food from Casa de Reyes, live entertainment by Rockin’ the Country band, and, of course, grape stomping. Celebrating the turn of the seasons and the harvest, this event captures the spirit of Old Town and the fun of stomping grapes the way it has been done for thousands of years.
The Fiesta de Reyes plaza is in the northeast corner of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and features authentic Mexican restaurants and 13 specialty shops and retailers. (619/840-5579, www.haciendawinery.com)
