Lunch with Joe Pantoliano

On Thursday, October 9, at 11am, International Bipolar Foundation presents a luncheon and presentation titled Joe Pantoliano: A Tough Guy Battles Back, at Estancia La Jolla. As one of today’s best-known character actors, Pantoliano boasts over 100 film, TV, and stage credits. In 2001, while portraying psychopathic mobster “Ralphie Cifaretto” on The Sopranos, Pantoliano published Who’s Sorry Now: The True Story of Stand-Up Guy, a bittersweet memoir about his childhood and his mother’s mental illness. His second book, Asylum: Hollywood Tales from My Great Depression: Brian Dis-Ease, Recovery, and Being My Mother’s Son, is a candid account of his journey through clinical depression. By charting his own diagnosis and recovery, Pantoliano hopes to educate others and remove the stigma from mental illness. 858.764.2496, ajacobs@ibpf.org
