Flower Hill’s Easter Egg Treasure Hunt
Hop on over to Flower Hill Promenade on Easter weekend to enjoy the annual Easter Egg Treasure Hunt on Saturday, April 19. Check in at Geppetto’s Toys to receive your “treasure map,” which will give you hints to select Flower Hill shops where you will receive a stamp on your map and some special Easter treats. When finished, kids can return their completed treasure maps to Geppetto’s and receive a special prize. In the spirit of new beginnings, new executive chef Brandon Fortune at L’Auberge Del Mar will present an Easter brunch menu that is both a celebration of the season and a preview of what’s to come at the coastal hotel. Amid blissful views of the Pacific Ocean at Waterfall Terrace restaurant, chef Fortune will deliver an exciting new menu with dishes that showcase his progressive, youthful style — a unique blend of both modern and retro with influences from his many passions including music, auto racing, and a love of the South. Menu highlights include: Del Mar Cobb with calamari, bay scallops and grilled chicken; All Kale Caesar; New-American “Benny” with toasted brioche, maple-lacquered pork belly and cayenne hollandaise; Southern-Style Home Fries; Sweet Corn and Crab Chowder; and Bread Pudding French Toast.

Also part of the spread will be popular brunch favorites such as made-to-order omelets, assorted pastries, applewood smoked bacon, an international craft cheese spread, mixed fruit, and cold smoked Scottish salmon.

Easter Brunch will be served at Waterfall Terrace from 10am-2:30pm on Sunday, April 20. Brunch is priced at $67 per adult and $33 for kids ages 5-12.

Celebrate Easter in Parisian style at The Westgate Hotel with Easter-themed tea services and a special Easter brunch. On Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, the Easter Bunny Teas will feature kid friendly petit fours and mini pastries paired with a traditional European afternoon tea. Families can partake in an Easter egg hunt on the Riviera Terrace, watch a demonstration by a magician and meet the Easter Bunny.  The events will run from 2:30-5pm both days. On Sunday, April 20, experience The Westgate’s traditional Easter Champagne Brunch, complete with fresh seafood, made-to-order omelets, carving stations, gourmet desserts, and a kids’ specialty station. The Grand Del Mar welcomes spring with Easter holiday choices including a lavish brunch in its Elizabeth Ballroom; a special three-course brunch at Amaya, an a la carte brunch menu at Club M; and the resort’s annual The Grand Hunt for Easter eggs with children’s games and activities on the Aria Lawn.   Served from 9:30am-2pm, the annual Easter brunch in the Elizabeth Ballroom features mini breakfast pastries and morning favorites including made-to-order omelettes and potato blinis. Dishes from the sea include gravlax and smoked fish, as well as jumbo shrimp, oysters on the half shell and Alaskan snow crab claws. There are dim sum and sushi selections, seasonal salads, and cheese and charcuterie. From the carving station, guests may enjoy rosemary and garlic-rubbed leg of lamb, slow-roasted prime rib, and honey mustard-glazed bone-in ham. The children’s buffet offers mini corn dogs, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, mini cupcakes, and candy eggs. $88 per adult; $30 per child (ages 4-12).

Served from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, chef Matthew Sramek’s three-course Easter brunch at Amaya offers starter selections including a choice of Fresh Yogurt Parfait, Catalan Shrimp, Soup or Smoked Salmon Plate. For the second course, main plate options are Steak and Eggs, Dungeness Crab Benedict, Egg White Frittata and Old-Fashioned Waffle. The meal ends with a scrumptious Easter Trio holiday dessert. $58 per person.

From 7am-4pm on Sunday, April 20, guests at Club M can enjoy starters like Steel Cut Irish Oats, Tortilla Soup, or House-Made Guacamole and Salsa. Morning classics include Eggs Benny with Canadian bacon, hollandaise, toasted muffin and hash browns; Bacon & Egg Burrito; and French Toast with apple chutney and toasted almonds. Salad options include Grilled Salmon & Spinach, Skirt Steak & Charred Sweet Corn, and Grilled Chicken or Shrimp Caesar.
