Taking Aim

Published

Taking Aim focuses on the cultural phenomenon of rock ‘n’ roll, a genre of music so iconic it should be titled in caps. This engrossing visual of its history is up on the walls of the Museum of Photographic Arts, featuring photos selected by Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Captured on film are Elvis Presley, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello, and many other rock ‘n’ rollers, as well as the artists behind the cameras including Annie Leibovitz, Francesco Scavullo, Henry Diltz, and, fittingly, Graham Nash. There are 100 photos in all, with written commentary and a smart phone tour by Nash. The show closes September 26. (619/238-7559, www.mopa.org)   DARLENE G. DAVIES
